Yes! While most medical schools require a degree completion transcript by June 30, students who are enrolled in the MBI program can still apply to medical school and include an unofficial transcript demonstrating their anticipated completion date end of August. The MBI program director and Associate Dean of Graduate Studies will attest to the students’ completion of the degree. An official transcript can be forwarded to the medical school to accompany the students’ application upon completion of the MBI program.
The MBI program will enable students to develop a combination of intrapreneurial and entrepreneurial skills that will permit a range of career directions upon graduation. These can range from entrepreneurship, working for a start-up company, working for an established company in the medtech field, becoming a health care provider, etc.
The MBI curriculum is designed to be flexible and most course material will be delivered asynchronously online, enabling those who are full-time working professionals to complete the MBI. However, students are required to be present on site for the full duration of the four bootcamp sessions. The time that students are expected to commit to completing coursework is about 10 hours/week.
