Where Biomedical Innovation Meets Real-World Impact
The Master of Biomedical Innovation (MBI) program is a multidisciplinary, project-oriented graduate program focused on bridging the gap between technology development and its transfer into local, national, and international biomedical markets. By linking the theory and practice of the biomedical innovation process, the program delivers a systematic but responsive approach to the critical, emerging discipline of innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E).

Students of the program will:
- Learn how to create and market biomedical products or devices.

- Better understand emerging opportunities in therapeutics, artificial intelligence (AI), medtech, and more.

Your Path Through the MBI
The MBI is unique within health sciences education and is the first graduate health care entrepreneurship program of its kind in Canada. It is a graduate-level program with the curriculum divided into three phases guiding learners through the biomedical innovation and entrepreneurship process. Learners will simultaneously acquire and apply the theories and skillsets presented across the three phases to a venture-orientated project.
